1. Acceptance of Terms
By accessing or using the PlaydatesGo app, you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service and all applicable laws and regulations.
2. Description of Service
PlaydatesGo is a social platform designed to help families connect, organize playdates, and share activities. The service lets users create profiles, add friends, invite other families, schedule playdates, message each other, and share content related to family activities.
3. User Accounts and Responsibilities
You must be at least 13 years old to create an account, and users under 18 must have parental consent. Accounts require a verified email address. You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account and for all activity that occurs under it.
4. Child Safety and COPPA Compliance
We take child safety seriously. Parents and guardians have full control over their children's profiles and data. We comply with the Children's Online Privacy Protection Act (COPPA) and require verifiable parental consent for information about children under 13. See our Children's Privacy page.
5. Content Guidelines
PlaydatesGo has zero tolerance for objectionable content or abusive behavior. Users must not post content that is:
- Harmful, threatening, abusive, harassing, or defamatory
- Hateful, discriminatory, or promoting violence
- Sexual, suggestive, or inappropriate for a family environment
- Illegal, fraudulent, or in violation of any laws
- Spam, misleading, or deceptive
- Infringing on intellectual property rights
Users who post objectionable content will have that content removed and their accounts permanently banned. We respond to all content reports within 24 hours.
6. Reporting and Blocking
- Report content: use the report button on any post, profile, message, or playdate to flag inappropriate content.
- Block users: block any user to prevent them from contacting you or seeing your content.
All reports are reviewed within 24 hours, and we take immediate action against violations.
7. Subscriptions
PlaydatesGo Plus is an optional auto-renewing subscription ($4.99/month or $34.99/year, with a one-week free trial) billed through your Apple ID. It renews automatically unless cancelled at least 24 hours before the end of the current period; manage or cancel anytime in your device Settings. Core social features remain free without a subscription.
8. Privacy and Data Protection
Your privacy is important to us. Please review our Privacy Policy to understand how we collect, use, and protect your information.
9. Limitation of Liability
PlaydatesGo is provided "as is" without warranties. Playdates are organized between families at their own discretion; we are not liable for any damages arising from your use of the service or from in-person meetings arranged through it.
10. Changes to Terms
We may modify these terms at any time. Continued use of the service after changes constitutes acceptance of the new terms.
